Love, love, love....

To some cynics, Valentine's Day may be merely an aberration of sorts. Hallmark perpetuating commercialism; taking advantage of the lovesick and lovelorn. I however, am all for hearts, flowers
and chocolates.

I hold steadfast to the notion that no one can turn a blind eye to receiving a heart-cut card of affection, no matter how small. Memories of paper wrapped shoe boxes from school days, brimming with red and pink envelopes, warm even the darkest of hearts. Foil wrapped chocolates, perched on bed pillows as a token of my mother's love. Not to be outdone, my father arriving home, arms overflowing with flowers and heart shaped candy boxes for all.

Is it not better to celebrate a day of love and the potential for love not yet realized?

"All you need is love, all together now, All you need is love, everybody
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need" ~Beatles

100% agree! Bring it on - ALL of it.....cheesy cards and waxy chocolate, paper hearts and doilies. It's all good! Happy Valentine's Day, Mora!
