I have not jumped on the green juice craze. Until now. Love this. So. Much. Daughter sent me the link, which I wasn't going to try, bless her. But, then she blended me a glass and I am a convert! This is adapted from the Dr. Oz, The 28-Day Shrink Your Stomach Challenge.
I'm not much into the challenge. Flushing, shrinkage, whatever. I just love this juice. And anything that I can drink that is not a Diet Coke is a good thing. So without further ado, let's get juicing.
Dr. Oz. Green Juice
2 cups spinach
2 cups water
1 cucumber
2 celery stalks
1 pear with skin
juice of 1 lemon
1 frozen banana (this addition is not on the Dr. Oz plan)
Blend spinach with water. Then add cucumber and celery and blend. Next add the pear and frozen banana, which makes the juice thick and refreshingly cold. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the blender, mix one more time. Enjoy!
