I Am Telling You, This Will Put Some Pep in Your Step!

And I will take any "pep" I can get! So, if you have not already watched, If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast, on HBO, you are missing out. It documents well known celebrities leading lives with purpose and vitality, well into their 90s, and beyond. Every morning, 95-year-old comedian Carl Reiner reads the obituaries to make sure he's not in it, then he can eat breakfast and carry on with the rest of his day!

The documentary, a very optimistic view for seniors, interviews regular Americans as well. Tao Porchon-Lynch, a 98-year-old yoga instructor takes up dancing as a nonagenarian and does it with panache and beauty! The secret to her positive longevity is to choose to do what you can do every day, not what you can't.

There are many things to learn from watching the relationship Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks and Norman Lear have with each other. They actively participate in life and it's a lesson we can all learn from, no matter what our age. Find it! Watch it!
