Signing on the Dotted Line!

I am happy to report while in Maine Daughter and I read over my contract for writing from Oprah's website.  It was signed by the two of us, witnessed by my son-in-law and grandson, and sealed by the fireplace at the Harraseeket Inn.

It may seem silly to some.  A legal contract with no real binding power...except to me.

I began in earnest yesterday after a number of weeks, when admittedly I lost some steam.  I set the timer on the oven for two hours exactly.  While writing I cannot answer the phone, the door, the laundry buzzer.  I may not check emails, send emails, blog, text or vacuum.  I must sit and face my computer screen for the entire agreed upon time.

I was tested.  The phone rang, but I did not answer.  Cat fur rolled past me like tumbleweed, but I did not budge.

The timer went off and I could not believe two hours of writing had passed!  I emailed Done to my daughter!

And waited...

"Bing" went my iPad...and Check!  Back on course!
