I write (not with pearls on today, electric curlers, we'll get to that later) at the kitchen counter and then email myself the day's pages. I then run upstairs (any extra exercise is welcome) and cut and paste to my documents on the desktop computer. Don't ask, it works for me.
Except for this morning. I wanted to revise some earlier chapters, so I sat at the desktop only to discover I have five book documents, all with varying lengths of writing. Some updated, some not. Aughhh!!!
I spent over my allotted writing time cutting and pasting, deleting and checking just to fix this mess of my own making.
It was a dizzying task and I wanted to cry "Uncle!" I had such a headache, you shouldn't know from.
Until I felt the top of my head and realized I had curlers in my hair for two and half hours. I do that sometimes, multitask. Except, I put in my teeny tiny rollers, just to see how my hair would look when I finished writing. Don't ask...Little Orphan Annie has nothing on me!
