Happy Feet!

I'm back...with a song in my heart and a brace on my arm.  It appears the spill I took dancing (you may refer to April 15th post, "Airborne") was a little more than I bargained for.  And the irony here
is one of the reasons we moved was because of our old narrow, slippery stairs, which Daughter and I have both tumbled down to the bottom of.  Apparently I am accident prone anywhere.

But, pain aside, I am a happy girl because I had the privilege of watching Milo for a few days.  He is as charming as ever.  I think he sensed I was not up to form; whenever I held him, lowered him into his car seat or stroller he held on extra tight, as though he knew I needed the help.

And as luck would have it, Milo and I were in the Saks shoe department on Wednesday when in walked a dear friend, who also happens to be an orthopedic surgeon.  I commented about my wrist pain and he examined me right there, between Prada and Jimmy Choo.  "Your right wrist is swollen," he commented.  "What happened?"  I wished I could have said something dramatic like white water rafting or auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.  Anyway, after an x-ray I am pleased to report there is no fracture, just need to wear the brace for two weeks.

Milo is back with his mommy and daddy in their new apartment!  My heart is indeed light knowing they are only a drive away.  I can't say I will give up dancing in it's entirety.  Can't keep my happy feet down for long.  Perhaps I'll purchase some ballet slippers, or twirl around the kitchen counter, that way if I'm about to go down, I'll at least have something to hold onto to break my fall.
