And...Breathe...
Mother-n-law just happily downed an entire piece of strawberry shortcake. Having just witnessed her nimble fork work I can tell you her extremities are just fine; not a crumb was spared. The good news is she did not have a stroke, but an infection, which went undetected and caused her to become confused and lethargic. She is now in rehab and looks pretty darn good for ninety years young. Thank you dear friend, Dr. JS, for your kind ear regarding Mother-in-law. It's comforting knowing you are in the wings.
Friday's Blog
So, lets discuss my sudden repost of Friday's blog. Once you put the words out there you can't get them back. So, I thought about my descriptive prose and thought it better to delete and protect the innocent. It's easy to reveal too much sometimes. And every so often I wonder if my posting days are numbered. I wish I could be as forthright as some bloggers are about disclosing everything and the kitchen sink.
Writing...
I'm a little behind...with traveling and visitors and the unfortunate emergencies that arise, I haven't had the time or quiet to work. I am getting back into my routine this week. I wonder about all the authors who write successfully day after day. Who cleans their houses, irons their clothes and cooks their meals? Perhaps they don't care if they live in dirty houses, in wrinkled clothes, with cupboards bare (they must be very hungry...and very thin).
I did have the opportunity to read my most recent pages to Daughter, before life got so hectic. She referred to my writing as my "livelihood." I love that. Daughter, thank you not only for your suggestions, but more importantly for the validation. It means so very much to me.
