The Day Before
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving plus Chanukah for us. And in a perfect world I would work on my book, write a post, cook and bake and set the table like Martha Stewart, Ina Garten or Giada De Laurentiis, with my nails manicured, my makeup done and enough energy to spare.
Right. No, instead I stand in my kitchen baking pumpkin pie and apple crisp and stuffing with chestnuts and fruit, with my hair askew and a hole in my shirt. In between the oven timer's, beep, beep, beep, I spruced up baby grandson's room and decorated for the Thanksgivukkah celebration, which I may have gone a bit overboard on. There was no time to write, or think about writing, or coiffed hair, so this is all you get.
Happy turkey and latkes everyone!
