What's Out, Harper's Bazaar?

Harper's Bazaar, September 2013

I was reading the September issue of Harper's Bazaar at the hair salon this past week; Sarah Jessica Parker was on the cover, love her.  The What's In and Out caught my eye, a proverbial list of the "it" items of the moment and the washed up "has-beens." I still regret passing up a great pair of wedge sandals, because Harper's claimed they were out.

#4, really?  I live in beaded necklaces. And what kind of beads are you referring to, HB?  Does this include pearls, semi-precious stones, resin, jadeite, vintage? If you are going to declare an item obsolete, shouldn't you be more specific?

It seems to me that a magazine with a primarily female audience would not only want to support our right to creativity and the pursuit of individuality, they would demand it.  Life is hard enough without a necklace mandate.  A matter of fact I am going to wear every one of my beaded necklaces just to protest.  Ok, maybe I won't wear them all at once. I'll wear one a day, for a very, very long time.

Of course, since I'm behind on my reading, beaded necklaces could be back in favor by the time I catch up.
