Extemporaneous Musings!

Otherwise known as, what I think about while waiting to board a plane.

Let me start with our family vacation in Maine, which can be summed up in one word, stupendous!  Will post pictures once settled.

Laundry;  I sort colors in my head.  It's a thing.  I try to break my own record for speed washing once we arrive home.

Social media and it's ramifications on society at large.  I blog, so this may be a case of who's calling the kettle black.  Anyway, I was watching people glued to their phones and iPads at JFK and wondered if anyone would notice if an elephant walked through the terminal.  I for one love people watching.  We humans really are fascinating creatures.

Of course I wouldn't leave the house without my cell, but I suppose I have a love/hate relationship with technology.  I love the ability to call, but when I've got a shirt over my head in a dressing room, a sudden ringtone can be off putting.  I love taking pictures with my phone, but photo op's are not my forte.  I've wasted plenty of time fiddling around with the camera, instead of being present and living in the moment.

FaceTime is wonderful!  Although, I innocently returned a friend's call while she was at a doctor's appointment. Turns out it was a pocket call.  You may ask, why return a call without a voice message?  I have ARAD (Anxious Response Anxiety Disorder).  Ok, I made that up, but I fear every call may be an emergency.

Well, that's enough rambling.  We're back home, the laundry is almost done and the photos everyone else took are just about downloaded.
