How About Lunch?!

One would think, since I'm home while construction is going on in the house, I would have a hefty amount of writing done.

And you would be right, if I wasn't so worried about my brother.  Everyday is a roller coaster, we're up, we're down; information changes, sometimes hourly.  If I get in a good page or two of writing daily, that's as much as I can ask of myself, right now.  Mostly, I find myself staring off into space, or just wanting to scream.

And even though I'm technically not alone, I'm physically without my people. My friends and family who lift me up, divert my attention from my worries.  You know who you are.

So, I am pledging, when all this home improvement is over, I shall do my best to connect with you, my people, with lunch or tea, coffee, waffles or donuts (maybe waffles and donuts)!  I know I've made fun of ladies who lunch, but I've decided there's something to the connection that is impossible to make by phone, through email or text.

Writing is a solitary business, but the truth is, there's nothing like sitting across from a face you love (and FaceTime doesn't count).  So, here's to the ladies who lunch, or brunch...I'm coming!
