So, is it the medicine alone that I was taking for the past two years, or is it giving up diet soda that did the trick? I asked my doctor that very question. He couldn't be sure, although phosphoric acid in diet drinks has been linked to bone density loss. But, the jury may still be out on this one. I would really like to think we have some control over our bodies. Since becoming a mid-life lady there are some days when it seems an alien force has taken over.
There are other variables. Is it all the baby lifting? Lifting weights helps build bone density and my grand babies are no lightweights! So, thank you boys!!! There's no way to be sure. But, I'll keep doing what I'm doing. And it's always great to get a call from your doctor with good news!
