He thought it was stress from his mother's passing. Perhaps a reaction to a recent epidural, a nervous twitch.
I was not calm about this. Not. One. Bit. I jumped on Google. Never, ever a good idea. All the millions of fears that had been flooding Husband's head are now filling mine. Husband is always the calm one, the perpetual clearing house of Zen. He's the glue that not only keeps us together, he's our rock.
In my shock and anger at what this possibly could mean I wonder, why bother eating wild salmon and omega 3's and vegetables and ground flax and exercising? We apparently have no control. Over anything. We may as well all eat donuts.
Husband commented on the Lay's potato chip commercial for Reuben flavored chips one evening, as I watched his hand shake, shake, shake. My heart breaks into a million pieces. He asks and he shall receive, chips that is.
And to quote Husband, "Nothing is ever as good or as bad as it first appears." So that you
don't all start calling, here's the good news. All tests, MRI, neurological workup and carotid artery ultrasound are all negative, which is quite positive. But, having three inoculations, in a short period of time, all in the same arm, pneumonia, shingles and flu may have hit a nerve, in more ways than one. Happy days are here again.
Donuts on me!
