Just One More Thing...

There's a lot going on now, which is why I'm on break. Like the holidays...and cards. So, I went to the post office, to buy stamps. The line was out the door. Today is only Monday. I'm just saying.

Anyway, a clerk in the lobby told me I'd be better off going to the post office branch in the mall, across the street. "You'll get right in."

OK. I drove across the street and she was right. There was no line. Only an ornery clerk. Who would not smile. Or look me in the eye. "May I see your holiday stamps, please?" She was not having any of my sunny disposition. "Vegetable. All I've got are vegetable stamps." She blurted out like an angry woman, you would not want to cross. I bought two books. I'm just saying.
