Why I'm on Break

Because sometimes you need to take a mental holiday. I have not worked on my book in weeks, or blogged with any regularity. As Maggie Mae pointed out recently, my blog is an emotional medium for me, of the moment. But, now I need to live in the moment. So, I have given myself permission to stray from my routine. I'm putting my book writing on the shelf. Sometimes there are more important things in life than holing up at my kitchen table, my head down, my fingers on the keys.

Not that I didn't feel guilty at first. I did. But, then a funny thing happened...freedom. I have enough on my plate, which I don't have the time to elaborate on. I will blog when I can. I'm sure my kitchen table, which is now covered with to-be-mailed holiday cards and wrapping paper, will eventually hold my laptop once again. But, for now, my loyal readers, I'm on break.
