An Exciting Day After A Mainer's Cry

Today our children and baby Milo are arriving! Their rooms are ready, the crib assembled and all the required accoutrements in place! We are giddy with excitement!

Yesterday we ventured south to Kennebunkport, past the Bush estate to tour the Kennebunkport Historical Society Designer Show House, (which was magnificent, if you are up this way). I made Frances, who sells the entry tickets, cry. She asked where we were from and before I knew it she was telling me about her house in Florida where her husband died, something terribly tragic happened, and how she can never go back there again. Choking back tears she said one therapist told her she should talk about it, the other said not to.

Trying to make her feel better I said how lucky she was to live in such a beautiful state and that we would love to live in Maine. She perked up, wrote down her realtor's phone number, her phone number and said we should call her for dinner sometime. But, not this week, because she is busy with her new boyfriend and is going to be making an appointment with a medium to talk to her dead husband.
