So, to bring all two of you up to speed, we arrived in NYC last Thursday to babysit precious Milo. Our children had a wedding in Dallas and were flying out Saturday morning, their first time leaving Milo overnight, ever. But, by early Friday, Daughter and son-in-law had cancelled their trip (we did not take this personally). Milo was teething up a storm and was waking in the middle of the night often enough to cause some concern; cutting that first tooth can be very painful, for both baby and parents.
However, we still had the pleasure of babysitting! Friday afternoon I pushed Daughter out the door for a mani/pedi! Saturday night Papa and I insisted they go out for dinner! I could see my daughter was feeling a great sense of relief over her decision, yet wondering if she would ever feel comfortable leaving Milo. As our brilliant son-in-law aptly put it, "Baby steps. Baby steps." I absolutely agree!
Here are some pictures of Milo's escapades!
