In the face of some recent events it has occurred to me there are some people who should be thanked. And as my father used to say, "If you have something nice to say, say it."
My first shout out is to our Canadian cousin who years ago gave me very good advice when it comes to my siblings.
She may have totally forgotten several of our conversations, but I have not. She once said, and I am paraphrasing here, there are some things you can not do anything about and instead of dwelling on them, let it go and give yourself permission to deal in "emergency mode," when it becomes necessary. By the way, this advice can be applied to so many things!
Beacuase of this I live, (for the most part), in calmer days and spend more time on solutions than on hand wringing. My sister has been without her cell phone for months and after little help from my brothers I finally gave a stern ultimatum this week, either they follow through, or I will. Apparently this lit a fire under one tush and success - she is with phone (and we were all texted by her at 5:30 am this morning). Oy!

Thank you Maggie Mae for lending both ears, as always. There are just too many things to list. I only hope you feel as important as you make me feel.

Thank you dear daughter for lifting me up when I need it most and of course to Milo, who always brings a smile to my face!
