Too Much?

I should be the last to cast dispersions regarding what is shared via the Internet.  However, I wrestle constantly with what is too much; I don't even have a picture on my profile.  Unless you count my bio from the now defunct, Magazine of Yoga, or Gaga pics, I am a mystery.  But, when is too much information, too much?

I suppose we can never get enough information about our favorite people, whether they be our
children, friends or celebrities.

Of course I started blogging merely for the sake of writing, per the recommendation of my son-in-law, and if anyone cared to read, be my guest.  But, this posting takes on a life of its own.  As Daughter has commented, "You begin to think in blog." Do you need to know at this very moment that I am having the mother of all hot flashes, or that I ate so much bread at dinner my pants are too tight?  Maybe not, but, once I get over myself, and realize my title alone, "Reflections of a Fifty Something..." limits my shelf life, I can breathe a sigh of relief, the pressure is off.  Don't get me wrong, I'm loving my fifties.  Like Molly Shannon's character on SNL, Sally O'Malley, I could shout it from the rooftops, "I'm fifty...something!"

So, in light of this, read me while you can...I will eventually be sixty.
