Mother-in-law
Mother-in-law set a new world record for the number of times she called in one day. Eight times, well ten, if you count the cell.
I reminded her yesterday I'm visiting Daughter and baby for a few days this week.
Her calls were non-emergencies. Mostly about her pills (or as we like to call them, narcotics), swollen legs, bills and more pills. You don't want to know. Her last call was about a massage her doctor recommended. She said, "Well, I knew you would want to know since you are leaving tomorrow." I thanked her for her thoughtfulness. No sense reminding her that cell phones work just fine across the state.
Friends...
I got through my guilt fest with the help of my friends. My sister is heading south for a visit with us next week. The weight of the world has lifted off my shoulders and I have Husband and Maggie Mae to thank. MM gently reminded me not to put off tomorrow what I can do today. No time like the present. A stitch in time...
I suppose I got in my own way. My sister has the desire to travel, but the inability to make arrangements on her own. That's when I have to step up and make it happen.
Be Back Soon...
So, as you can tell I've got quite a week coming up. Be back as soon as I can. Coming up: Shoes, foot pain...and how much do those cost?
