Blue Tootsies

I commented to friends over dinner the other night that I believe I have become a stick in the mud.  If it weren't for Maggie Mae taking the bull by the horn, (I just can't resist an aphorism), we would have missed their marvelous company and delicious new restaurant Saturday night.

Anyway, in my desire to throw caution to the wind, (I know I'm incorrigible), I painted my toenails blue, yes I did, and deleted all the pages of my book on my iPad.  Don't freak out my little peanut gallery.  They are safely ensconced in my documents where no harm can come to them.  I need to write like there's no tomorrow, without getting in my own way.  Because I see each page on my iPad that has already been written, I have a habit of rereading, and rewriting, when all I should be doing is moving forward.

Anyway, my fear and insecurities have caused me to follow certain parameters, imaginary, really, that I erroneously believe will keep my world safe and calm.   But, that only makes life a little too predictable and staid.  And no one has that kind of control over the universe.  So, if you've fallen into the same old predictable patterns as I have, change course and paint your toenails blue!

Blue tootsies and Wookie!
