Just Like Camp?!

pret-a-voyager.com

Today was a free day of sorts, like summer camp, when all activities are suspended and you can fly about, free as a bird.

With construction on-going in the house, I'm often held captive, (that's a whole other post), so after finding out there would be no work today, a quick trip to the grocers, writing, two loads of wash, I thought, oh my goodness, what am I going to do with all this free time?  I decided to take myself shopping for some essentials.

I bought two exercise bras, mine keep disappearing.  Funny how that happens; they must be cohabiting with all my missing socks.

I've been on a dress expedition, for years; apparently I'm in no rush.  I am a bit concerned I'm turning into one of those mid-life women who just give up.  Is this a phenomenon that happens when we reach a certain age, or is it just me?

On the one hand, I'm confident enough most days to feel comfy in my own skin, so maybe the desire to dress in the most current trends wanes.  Although, I'm the last one you should ask about the latest styles. A matter of fact, ask me my opinion and then do the exact opposite.  I once told two friends that animal prints would be a flash in the pan. That was ten years ago and it's as popular as ever.

Anyway, I enjoyed my free time, such as it was.  I bought an iced coffee and watched all the mommies and grandmas stroll their charges through the mall, which only made me miss Milo.

Pleasant as it was, perhaps next time I'll start out sooner!  And perhaps the concept of a "free day" is best left for camp memories.
