The Power of Positive Thinking and National Donut Day!

It's easy to encourage positive thinking. I've done it twice today. But oh how I'd love to follow my own advice. And no, there is nothing wrong with me, so don't call. I am so not trying to be cryptic. What do I worry about? It would take less time to say what I don't worry about. The dentist, for example. Go figure.

Anyway, I am going to try, so you try too, to be in the moment, care free, unless you are stuck in quicksand, then you should worry. Otherwise focus on the here and now. Clear your mind, do some deep breathing, in and out. Isn't that nice? Imagine a beautiful sandy beach, turquoise waves gently breaking on the shore. Are you picturing it? Good. Think about now, not yesterday, not tomorrow. No more wasting time worrying about the unknown, the scary that may never happen. If we keep at it, positive, worry free thinking will become second nature. Practice, practice, practice.

And now after all this work we should have a donut! Tomorrow, June 5 is National Donut Day! I kid you not! Isn't that fabulous news? You can't possibly worry while eating a donut! It's practically medicinal! Go to usatoday.com to find out where to get one free! Oh, happy day!
