Just a Thought for October 7th

I kid you not, but Christmas lights are already strung on the trees to the entrance of our neighborhood. And yesterday I had a few birthday gifts wrapped at a toy store and my choices were, Christmas or Chanukah? Really? Is October now the official start of the holiday season?

I love the holidays as much as anyone, but it's not even Halloween yet. I would post a picture of the lights on the trees, but that would mean I'd have to put my shoes on and drive to the entrance, get out of the car and take a picture. I've been up since 3:30 a.m., again, damn menopause, and I had three shots at the dentist this morning, which was a whole exhausting ordeal I was not prepared for, to prep for the crown on the tooth I cracked in August, (a whole other story), so just take my word for it, there are Christmas lights on the trees.
