Husband and I have become avid fans of Kind bars. They are not just spectacular on the taste
buds, but fulfill our ever evolving way of eating.
They are made from whole and simple ingredients you can pronounce, are non-gmo, low on the glycemic index (yeah!), dairy free, low in sodium and are a good source of fiber! And they are perfect for recipe Monday!
OK, so this isn't so much a recipe as it is a layering together of ingredients. I got the idea yesterday when I was at Whole Foods and Kind was handing out samples.
1 Caramel Almond & Sea Salt Kind Bar
1 Sliced Apple
Cut the Kind bar into 4 pieces with a sharp knife. Layer slices of apple on top. It tastes like
a caramel apple and makes a wonderful, healthy snack.
And if you like cheese for a hearty treat:
1 Cranberry Almond Kind bar
Mild Cheddar Cheese
Cut the Kind bar into 4 pieces as above. Top with squares of cheese.
I could go on and on. There are endless combinations. Or, you could just eat a Kind bar of your choice, naked! Enjoy!
